Another Stock Repair

This isn't the type of gun that I usually work on.  It's a Forehand & Wadsworth boxlock double, an American gun, definitely not of a high pedigree.  It was, however, in pretty high condition and I thought it was interesting (interesting being my main criteria for accepting any job).  The stock was completely broken through the head and hand.  Below are the before and after photos.

  1. Repair?!?!? I would have tossed that busted up mess into the fireplace. How in the hell did you put that back together?

    1. The repair was made using epoxy and new pieces of wood, spliced internally. There are a few examples of stock repairs on the blog that show the process in more detail.
