Very nice condition with only caseharden wear on the bottom of the frame from being carried. The gun locked up tight with no play when twisted but when the breech is fully open there was a lot of side-to-side play when twisted. Almost as if the barrel lump was tapered toward the hinge pin area. When closing everything lined back up with nothing hitting and the breech action was tight. Is this another form of shooting loose? Would shooting 3" magnums cause the pivot point of the lump to compress or the frame to spread?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8226808901346190879.post-2418507167527381042023-08-28T07:43:16.161-07:002023-08-28T07:43:16.161-07:00Hmmm, I do surmise that your opines and musings ar...Hmmm, I do surmise that your opines and musings are very much valuable and appreciated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8226808901346190879.post-56327716386457920712023-08-26T11:47:59.021-07:002023-08-26T11:47:59.021-07:00The 32 and 3200 are entirely different guns. The pin layout makes them appear, at first glance, to be a typical A&D design but they are not, at all. The cocking system (and coil mainsprings) is similar to that of the Model 21 and the Ithaca NID, while the sears manage to function as overhead types, without actually being overhead (quite a clever design actually). The Rizzini that I referred to is Fratelli Rizzini, NOT Batista Rizzini or Isidore Rizzini. They are as different as night and day, in quality and cost. B. and I. Rizzini occupy the lower end of the cost range and are production guns, whereas Fratelli Rizzini are individually made to order and are at the (far) opposite end of the price (and quality) range. I would not own a B, or I. Rizzini over/under, not because there is anything particularly wrong with them, but because there are better choices in that price range. I would take that money and buy a nice, used Beretta 680-series over/under and enjoy a lifetime (likely) of trouble-free shooting.<br />I couldn't even begin to mention all of the names that Antonio Zoli over/unders have been sold under, beside their own. The gun occupies the same market space as the B. and I. Rizzini guns. In fact, their actions are the same design as the Rizzinis and Guerini, as well as others.Deweyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05924288339530598494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8226808901346190879.post-91050374320593378122023-08-21T13:13:27.866-07:002023-08-21T13:13:27.866-07:00I recently purchased a 1968 Beretta GR-3 sxs singl...I recently purchased a 1968 Beretta GR-3 sxs single trigger, from a design aspect what do you think about Italian doubles vs English doubles?
